'Gravity' Reports $8M Cume

on December 02, 2013

grav.pngGravity has been one of the most pleasant box office surprises of the year with a $615.3 million global cume. The sci-fi film’s $365.2 million overseas total has come from great performances around the world, but the Brazilian market has been a notable exception to the film’s worldwide success. Brazil has only accounted for $8 million of Gravity’s global box office tally, placing the film outside of the year’s top 25 releases in the country. Sci-fi films have struggled in Brazil this year, with Elysium, featuring supporting performances from popular Brazilian actors, being the highest earner of the bunch after a $9.1 million run.
