The Maze Runner has grossed a total of $5.56 million in Brazil and $119.1 million overseas. The film has grossed $193 million worldwide.
The Boxtrolls took a $726k from 326 dates in its Brazilian debut. The animated film failed to reach the $1 million mark in its opening weekend in two other key territories, Italy ($526k) and the Netherlands ($277k), as it finished its latest overseas frame with a $6 million haul. The Boxtrolls has grossed a total of $26 million overseas and $58.5 million worldwide.
The Maze Runner enjoyed a $2 million opening in Brazil from 344 screens, outmuscling Hercules for the top spot in the country. The strong debut ranks 102% ahead of Divergent’s debut in the same market. The Maze Runner has grossed $49 million overseas and $81.5 million worldwide.
Deliver Us From Evil opened to $1.1 million from 310 screens in Brazil, taking over the #3 spot in the market. The opening weekend came in well ahead of many comparable titles: 79% above Insidious: Chapter 2, 43% higher than Mama, and 30% above Devils Inside. The horror film has now grossed a total of $47.9 million from 40 overseas markets and is reporting a $78.4 million global cume.
Hercules added $1.6 million over its third weekend in Brazil. The film played in 434 locations over the weekend, bringing the local cume up to $11.5 million. Hercules has grossed $146.9 million overseas and $218.9 million worldwide.
