CHINA: 'Detective Dee' Celebrates $55.39M Holiday Bump

The action film Inferno 3D ranked in second place after bringing in $14.21 million in its first week.


Turbo enjoyed a good amount of hold-over business during the National Holiday week, adding $5.9 million to its tally and lifting the Chinese cume to $16.9 million. The animated film finished the weekend with a $113.9 million overseas total. Disney's estimates for The Lone Ranger debut came in over $1 million higher than the weekend actuals. Entgroup's data reports a $5.59 two-day take for the Disney dud; the studio had originally expected a $7 million tally from its first two days in the market.
