'Need for Speed' Leads the Pack En Route to $60M

Need for Speed leads the pack once again after grossing $13.86 in its second full week of release in China. The racing film has now grossed a total of $59.56 million in China and is the film’s biggest market, surpassing North America by over $20 million. Mr. Peabody & Sherman took a $7.86 million opening weekend to finish in second place on the weekly grosses chart. Fellow opener The Monuments Men came in fourth place with a $4.96 million debut. The Berlin Film Festival Golden Bear winner Black Coal, Thin Ice grossed $6.65 million in its first full of release. The Chinese film has grossed a total of $13.4 million.
