Warm Bodies grossed $1.44 million on Tuesday to lead the daily box office for a fifth consecutive day. The zombie comedy from Lionsgate and Summit was up a solid 15 percent over Monday, though it should be noted that daily percentage holds in general were strong on Tuesday. With a five-day start of $23.05 million, Warm Bodies continues to run in line with expectations. Warm Bodies is currently running a slim 1 percent behind the $23.32 million five-day start of The Woman in Black last year at this time (which increased 8 percent on its first Tuesday to gross $1.27 million).

Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters held steady in second place with $1.04 million. The 3D action horror film starring Jeremy Renner was up 20 percent over Monday and down 40 percent from last Tuesday. Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters has grossed $36.58 million in twelve days, placing it 25 percent ahead of the pace of 2005's The Brothers Grimm.

Silver Linings Playbook took in $0.91 million to remain in third. The Best Picture nominee from The Weinstein Company was up a strong 44 percent over Monday and down only 8 percent from last Tuesday. Thanks to its exceptional holding power, Silver Linings Playbook has grossed $81.54 million to date. That places the film $12.08 million away from matching the $93.62 million total gross of 2010's The Fighter.

Fellow Best Picture nominee Zero Dark Thirty claimed fourth with $0.54 million. The Sony release was up 24 percent over Monday and down a very solid 31 percent from last Tuesday. Zero Dark Thirty has grossed $78.65 million to date and is set to clear the $80 million mark on Friday.

Warner's Bullet to the Head rounded out the day's unchanged top five with $0.52 million. The Sylvester Stallone vehicle was up 21 percent over Monday, but in the bigger picture the increase doesn't mean much given the film's overall low grosses. Bullet to the Head has grossed a very soft $5.50 million through its first five days of release.
