Disney's Oz: The Great and Powerful took in $2.58 million on Thursday to lead the daily box office for a 14th consecutive day. The blockbuster 3D fantasy film is widely expected to see its run at the top of the box office end today with the release of Fox's The Croods. Oz: The Great and Powerful fell 4 percent from Wednesday. That represented one of the day's better daily holds among wide releases, as grosses in general clearly took a hit on Thursday due to competition from the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Oz: The Great and Powerful was easily the week's top film with a weekly take of $52.72 million. That was down 49 percent from the film's opening week performance and brings the film's two-week domestic total to an impressive $155.53 million.

The Call rounded out its first week in theatres with $1.10 million on Thursday. Sony's R-rated thriller starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin fell 6 percent from Wednesday. The Call exceeded pre-release expectations this week with a seven-day start of $22.20 million. That placed the film in second place for the frame and was 59 percent stronger than the $13.97 million seven-day take of 2007's Perfect Stranger.

Warner's The Incredible Burt Wonderstone rounded out its disappointing first week with a third place take of $0.60 million. The PG-13 comedy starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey fell a sharp 10 percent from Wednesday. Comedies released during the spring typically display strong holding power, but that isn't looking to be the case with The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. The film placed in third for the week with a seven-day start of $13.09 million.

On the platform front, A24's Spring Breakers grossed $406,858 for the week from just 3 locations in New York and Los Angeles. That gave the much buzzed about film starring James Franco, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens a terrific weekly per-location average of $135,619. Spring Breakers will hope to springboard off of its strong platform launch when it expands into wide release today (the film is playing in 1,104 locations this weekend).
