Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa claimed the top spot again on Wednesday with another $2.02 million added to its haul. The comedy's six-day start is $39.78 million, about 36 percent the pace of Jackass 3-D and 12 percent ahead of Jackass Number Two.

Gravity eased 38 percent from its Wednesday gross last week to $1.43 million yesterday. That brings the blockbuster's domestic cume to $204.43 million after 27 days in release. Expect the film to encounter a larger-than-normal decline this weekend as it loses IMAX screens to Lionsgate's Ender's Game.

Sony's Captain Philips grabbed $0.874 million on Wednesday, off 36.5 percent from the same day last week. The Tom Hanks-led thriller has accumulated $72.875 million in 20 days thus far, putting it 9 percent behind the pace of 2006's The Departed.

The Counselor continues to struggle as it slid 30 percent from Tuesday for $0.556 million yesterday. The pic's $9.8 million tally is virtually identical to Fox's other recent dud, Runner Runner and 41 percent behind 2008's Body of Lies.

In limited release, 12 Years a Slave added $0.186 million on Wednesday, increasing its overall gross to $3.99 million before its expansion continues this weekend.
