A look at fan increases for Iron Man 2, Robin Hood and Letters to Juliet.
Coming off of an opening weekend that wasn't quite as strong as originally anticipated, Iron Man 2 is seeing a nice surge in fans on its most active Facebook page. The superhero flick jumped from 958,330 fans as of 5 a.m. PT to 969,840 as of 5 p.m. PT, for an increase of 11,510. At this point its safe to say that the page will hit 1 million fans on Wednesday. Such strong support on the social networking site bodes well for the film's sophomore frame.
Robin Hood's most active Facebook page has yet to reach 50,000 fans, but at the pace it's going it will hit that mark by Tuesday. As of 5 a.m. PT the page had 46,287 fans and it added 2,013 by 5 p.m. PT for a total of 48,300.
Letters to Juliet is doing very well on Facebook. Its most active page has an impressive 222,077 fans as of 5 p.m. PT. Still, the romantic drama may be close to a pre-release peak on Facebook, because it added only 670 fans between 5 a.m. PT and 5 p.m. PT.
