'Happy Ending' Takes Positive Debut from North America on November 24, 2014

'Gone Girl' Finishes Third Frame with $1.44M Cume on November 16, 2014

Gone Girl is the #5 film in the Indian market and the #2 MPA title. The David Fincher thriller has grossed $319.3 million worldwide with $166.7 million coming from outside North America.

'Happy New Year' Reaches $13M Outside of its Domestic Market on November 04, 2014

Happy-New-Year.jpgHappy New Year has already collected more than $13 million after only 10 days of release outside of India. The film has been a big hit across several important markets for Bollywood films.

Red Chillies Entertainment CEO Venky Mysore states, "We are delighted with the audience reaction for Happy New Year which is universal whether nationally or internationally. Their continued love and support for the film and the cast is overwhelming." The company's CRO, Gaurav Verma, echoes the sentiment, "The response to HNY is phenomenal in first 10 days. The film is sustaining well and is set for a long run and will continue to create new benchmarks in international markets. We are yet to open non- traditional markets which will add significantly to the international box office numbers."

'Happy New Year' Posts Record-Breaking Opening Day in India on October 25, 2014

Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd reports that Happy New Year, the latest film from global superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has earned a record-breaking $10.5 million on its opening day. That's the highest opening-day tally the Indian box office has ever seen. 

"We are delighted that the audience across India has responded brilliantly and shown their support for a film that has been produced with a lot of passion and love," says Venky Mysore, CEO of Red Chillies.  

Happy New Year is currently playing in North America as well. The film is expected to pass Bang Bang as the highest grossing Indian film to play in North America this year.

 

'Bang Ban' Becomes the Top Bollywood Hit of the Year in North America on October 19, 2014

Bang-Bang.jpgBang Bang is the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year in North America. The film surpassed the $2.47 million cume earned by Kick in only its third weekend of release. Bang Bang has grossed a total of $2.56 million from 100 theatres in North America. The film continues to lead the market in India, adding $1.2 million from 1,200 screens in its third frame to reach a $32.5 million cume in its home nation. The UAE is currently reporting a $3.2 million cume while Bang Bang continues to be the second biggest Bollywood hit of the year in the UK with a $1.8 million total. The film has grossed a total of $45.7 million across 7 markets outside of North America.
