SRK is not only looking for big hits at at the box office, the acclaimed Indian superstar is also looking to take a hit at crime. Shah Rukh Khan has been announced as an Ambassador for INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign.

LYON, France - Internationally renowned Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan has agreed to become an Ambassador for INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign to promote greater awareness of how each of us can have a role in preventing crime.
The multi-award winning actor, the first Indian to be made an Ambassador for the global campaign, is lending his voice to help spread the message that all of society benefits when citizens respect the law and fight crime.
"It's a very special honour to be a part of INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime Campaign as an Ambassador. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, ‘I shall not fear anyone on Earth. I shall fear only God. I shall not bear ill will toward anyone. I shall not submit to injustice from anyone. I shall conquer untruth by truth. And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering, if I have to.'. We all should believe in this maxim and in whatever way possible resolve not to let unjust people who might threaten us with criminal activity make us fear them. Because I believe we can, we should, and we must stand together against the few who commit crimes against any human being, in whatever form or guise these crimes might take," said SRK.
SRK joins actor Jackie Chan as an Ambassador for the campaign, which has already garnered support from public figures including footballer Lionel Messi, Formula 1 racing drivers Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen in addition to law enforcement agencies around the world.
INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign is aimed at raising public awareness that organized crime is often involved in seemingly unrelated crimes. Drugs trafficking, people smuggling, counterfeiting, cybercrime, kidnapping, crimes against children and corruption in sport are in fact often interconnected, with profits from one crime area used to fund another.
INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign is aimed at helping the public better understand these issues and empowering them not to be duped by criminals when buying products or using the Internet.
"Shah Rukh Khan has dedicated his life to making films which reflect the highest level of professionalism and commitment to bringing joy into the lives of hundreds of millions of filmgoers in India and around the world," said INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.

The Turn Back Crime campaign is also reaching out to companies and policy-makers in a bid to form a united front against contemporary crime challenges, and to support the ongoing activities of the global law enforcement community.
Singham Returns brought in $213k from its first frame of weekdays in North America. The film played across 127 screens in the country and complemented its $654k weekend take. The film's cumulative total in North America stands at $867k.
Kick brought in $32k from its fourth week at 16 locations in North America. The film's North American run has brought in a total of $2.4 million.

Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd unveiled the first look of its next release, HAPPY NEW YEAR at a grand event in Mumbai. Director Farah Khan was present at the event along with the entire cast of the film - Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff, Music director duo Vishal-Shekhar and Producers. Unlike a usual trailer launch, this event was a celebration of the "Indiawaale" sentiment lent by the film.
The evening began with SRK and Boman welcoming all to the grand event and introduced Fictitious Group who performed to a theme music especially made to make the eve of Independence special. Vishal and Shekhar also performed on a specially created version of the Happy New Year song, Indiawaale. This was followed by a chic fashion show by Manish Malhotra. The entire cast of the film walked the ramp. The silhouette of the collection clearly defined the theme and the sentiment of the evening. The trailer of the film was then unveiled to the audience that comprised of media and fans from across India.
Farah Khan said, "This film has all that it takes to make a Bollywood quintessential film but the most important element here is HOPE. It is hope that turns into BELIEF for anyone who works hard in life to achieve their goals. Even if you lose don't let that bring you down and think it is the end."
