'Playing For Keeps' Scores Release Date on November 20, 2012

Playing for Keeps seems doomed to be overshadowed by bigger films in North America, so international grosses could be particularly crucial to its bottom line. 

Multivision Multimedia's most recent foreign releases in India are Looper, The Expendables 2, Piranha 3DD, Stolen and The Raid: Redemption.

UPDATED: BOX OFFICE: 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' Entices North American Crowds on November 19, 2012

jabposter.jpgMonday Update: Yash Raj Films reports that Jab Tak Hai Jaan took in $1.283 million from 160 locations. during its first weekend of release in North America. Final numbers are still coming in, but that should be good enough for a 10th place finish.

Saturday Update: is projecting that Jab Tak Hai Jaan will earn $1.85 million in North America this weekend, which will be enough to put it in the top 10. The last film from India to crack the North American top 10 during a weekend was Housefull 2 this past April.

New Trailer: 'Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola' on November 16, 2012

Official synopsis: Set in the rustic surroundings of a village in Haryana in India, Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola is a comedy-drama about Harry Mandola (Pankaj Kapur), a wealthy industrialist who loves his drink, his daughter Bijlee (Anushka Sharma) and the unusual bond they both share with Harry's man friday, Matru (Imran Khan). Much to her father's delight, Bijlee is all set to marry Baadal (Arya Babbar), the son of a powerful politician Chaudhari Devi (Shabana Azmi). This alliance which is far from just being a simple union of two young people becomes the seed for a story that brings twists and turns in the lives of Matru, Bijlee and Mandola.

Student of the Year made another $20,988 from 106 locations in North America. North American cume = $670,086.

English Vinglish grabbed $16,414 from 88 North American locations over the weekend. North American cume = $1,853,048.
