Los Angeles, CA -- Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, announced today that it experienced a record-breaking summer -- and is on track to enjoy its best September in the company's 11-year history. On top of that, Fandango just reached another major milestone - garnering 1 million Facebook fans.

During the summer movie season Fandango accomplished the following:

• Best Sales in Fandango History for the Months of May, June, July and August, Respectively;
• Best Mobile Ticket Sales, Representing 20% of Total Fandango Summer Sales;
• Top Traffic for Any Month in Fandango History (34 Million visitors in July, according to internal reporting);
• Largest Share of a Movie's Opening Weekend Box Office (19% of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2").

"We've seen tremendous traffic and ticket sales over the summer," says Fandango Executive Vice President and General Manager Rick Butler, "and we are on track to enjoy our best September in company history. Fandango has been active in the social networking space since 2008. Fandango was an early adopter of Facebook Connect, which offers an easy method of signing-in on the site, and Open Graph, which allows film fans the ability to interact and share information with other moviegoing friends.
