Sunday Update: The Friday-Sunday estimate for The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure is a disappointing $448,131 for a $207 location average. The film's total after five days will be $673,719, so at least it can say it beat Delgo's $597,474 5-day haul in 2008.

The Oogieloves movie now boasts the lowest location average for a wide release. 2011's Creature previously held the record with $217.

Saturday Update: After bringing in less than $100K on Friday, the Oogieloves movie is on pace for only $600K over the four-day weekend.

Friday Update: The Oogieloves movie didn't do much better on Thursday: $123,024 for a $57 location average. The cume after two days is $225,588.

Thursday Update: Compared to Oogieloves, Delgo now looks like Avatar.

The official Wednesday number for The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure is an awful $102,564 from 2,160 locations, which means that the family-friendly flick made only $47 per location. We'll go out on a limb and say that this is going to be the biggest bomb of the year. Just call it a hunch.

The poor performance of Oogieloves takes some heat off of Delgo, an animated flick released in December 2008 that managed only $127,750 from 2,160 locations on its opening day. Delgo has been a punchline for nearly four years, but now it can fade into obscurity again.
