Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, announced today that it set a new sales record yesterday (on Christmas Day) for best-ever single day ticket sales. The previous record-holder for Fandango, during its 12-year history, came earlier this year on May 4, 2012, the opening day of "The Avengers."

Fandango's top-sellers on Christmas Day were, in order, "Les Miserables," "Django Unchained," "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," "Parental Guidance," "This is 40," "Jack Reacher" and "Lincoln."
