NORTH AMERICA: 'Neighbors' Cracks $60 Million in 6 Days

neighbors2014daily.jpgUniversal reports that Neighbors took in $3.66 million on Wednesday, off 24 percent from the day before and easily retaining first place. The comedy's 6-day domestic total is $61.97 million--just 6 percent behind the pace of The Hangover.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 grabbed another $2.07 million yesterday, down 50 percent from the same day last week. The sequel has tallied $153.43 million domestically in its first 13 days, or 23.5 percent less than its predecessor and 1 percent more than Thor: The Dark World at the same respective points.

The Other Woman eased 38 percent from last Wednesday to $0.78 million yesterday. With $64.55 million in the bank after 20 days, Fox's comedy is running 10.5 percent ahead of the pace of What Happens in Vegas.

Sony's Heaven is for Real declined just 21.5 percent from last Wednesday to $0.52 million yesterday. The faith-based film's total haul is now an impressive $77.34 million.

Rounding out the top five, Captain America: The Winter Soldier posted $0.42 million on Wednesday for a strong week-to-week decline of 22 percent. The sequel's domestic tally now stands at $246.5 million.
