CHINA: ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Is The #1 Film Of All Time

Tuesday Update: Entgroup reports that Transformers: Age of Extinction has earned a staggering $222.7 million after 10 days of release in China, which pushes it past Avatar's $221.9 million haul. (Avatar's total is not adjusted for inflation.)
Age of Extinction has yet to crack $200 million in North America.
Sunday Update: China continues to be the top global market for Transformers: Age of Extinction, where the Michael Bay popcorn flick has already grossed a world-leading $212.8 million, over $35 million than what it has grossed in North America. The film is already doubling the earnings of the previous installment of the franchise in China. Age of Extinction had a bigger weekend in China than in North America, where it posted a $50.9 million haul compared to the Holiday tally of $36.4 million in North America. The film has grossed a total of $22.7 million in the IMAX format and is only days away from beating the $24 million IMAX record in the country that was established by Avatar.
