Director M. Night Shyamalan has begun shopping his latest project around town. As usual, the filmmaker is trying to keep details under wraps, although it has been revealed that the film already boasts previous Shyamalan collaborator Bruce Willis and stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Bradley Cooper as attached names.
Shyamalan burst onto the scene with 1999's The Sixth Sense, only to see his directorial clout fall in the wake of poorly-received bombs such as The Village and Lady in the Water. The filmmaker tried to shake things up with The Happening, going for an R-rating for the first time, and made little headway in recapturing his former success.
The director recently completed a live-action adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon "Avatar: The Last Airbender". Simply titled The Last Airbender (thanks to James Cameron's picture), Paramount made the decision to convert the film to 3D in post-production, and will open the film wide on July 1st. Tweet and facebook tracking data isn't compiled yet, but a hit could really help Shyamalan's leverage in getting this new project off the ground.
