Basingstoke -- Sony Professional today announced three new digital cinema dealers across Europe, as part of its drive to meet the ever-growing demand for its 4K projection systems.

Sony Professional has signed agreements with four new dealers: Sound Associates in the UK, Protronic AG in Switzerland, and Hulskamp in the Netherlands, expanding its footprint across Europe. These strategic alliances demonstrate Sony's commitment to the cinema industry and will allow more audiences to experience 2D and 3D cinema through 4K digital projectors.

As the world's only manufacturer of commercially available 4K resolution digital cinema projectors, Sony Professional supplies an end-to-end solution capable of providing viewers with a superior visual experience.

"We are fully committed to further strengthening our channel partnerships in Europe and continuing to deliver compelling cinema experience," said Oliver Pasch, head of digital cinema at Sony Professional in Europe. "Working hand in hand with these specialist dealers, we can jointly deliver outstanding 2D and 3D technology to support cinemas exhibitors across Europe."

Graham Lodge, Managing Director, Sound Associates, said, ‘As movie goers are now demanding more immersive and entertaining cinema experience, we believe that the Sony 4K digital cinema projection systems have huge potential in the UK.'

Dealers in other parts of Europe are also very positive about the prospect of 3D cinema. Patrick Engler, CEO, Protronic AG, commented, ‘We entered this partnership because we believe in Sony's unrivalled experience and expertise in cinema. We are confident that it will benefit our customers in Switzerland.'

"We're going to deliver high quality solutions to a broad range of cinemas in the Netherlands and the Sony 4K projectors will provide a competitive edge that is second to none," concluded Roland Janssen, commercial director, Hulskamp Audiovisueel.
