About Cinema Cafe

In September of 1985, hospitality/sales professional and entrepreneur, John Walker, joined with investors Richard, Edward, and Jeffrey Kramer to open Cinema ‘N' Drafthouse in an existing twin theater in the Pembroke Meadows area of Virginia Beach.

Popularity of the unique concept quickly caught on and it wasn't long before an additional theater was added, making it a three-plex. By the 1990s, as operations shifted to focus on a more family-oriented restaurant atmosphere, "Drafthouse" was dropped and the theater was re-christened as Cinema Cafe. In coordination with that change in focus came a firmer commitment to customer satisfaction and community support, both of which have clearly contributed to the positive brand image of the Cinema Cafes.

Cinema Cafe has additional locations throughout the Hampton Roads community and is looking forward to welcoming and serving guests in the Edinburgh location. For more updates and information on Cinema Cafe Edinburgh, follow us on Facebook &
