DeLand, Florida (February 13, 2014) - EPIC Theatres is pleased to announce the company has signed an agreement to purchase 17 acres of land for a new theatre location in Mount Dora, Florida. EPIC's new facility will be located in the fast growing Highway 441 corridor between Target and WalMart.

The new Epic Theatres of Mount Dora with EPIC XL will feature 14 stadium auditoria with upscale amenities. In addition, Epic Theatres of Mount Dora will contain one EPIC XL stadium auditorium with a 65' wide curved silver screen and earth shaking DOLBY digital sound.

Construction of the new facility is expected to begin in January 2015 with an opening in November 2015. Kansas City based TK Architects, has been selected to design the new facility. TK Architects has also designed EPIC's Theatres in Deltona, Clermont, St. Augustine, and Palm Coast, Florida.

EPIC Theatres is a privately held motion picture exhibition company based in DeLand, Florida. EPIC currently operates 93 screens at 8 sites. The company has embarked on an expansion program with plans to add more than 60 screens at 5 sites.
