LOS ANGELES - February 27, 2014 - According to Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, Liam Neeson's airborne action-thriller "Non-Stop," has accelerated to the top of Fandango's Fanticipation movie buzz indicator, scoring a speedy 82 out of 100 points. At the same time, faith-based moviegoers are gathering for the religious drama, "Son of God," scoring 70 out of 100 points on Fanticipation and leading today's advance ticket sales on Fandango. According to more than 1,000 "Son of God" ticket buyers on Fandango:
· 94% would like to see more Biblical stories brought to the big screen;
· 76% plan to see "Noah" with Russell Crowe in the title role;
· 61% also saw "The Passion of The Christ" on the big screen;
· 56% also watched TV's "The Bible" from "Son of God" producers Mark Burnett & Roma Downey;

"The success of ‘The Bible' miniseries on History Channel last year showed the entertainment industry that there's a high demand for faith-based product," says Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger. "It's an audience that's been underserved when it comes to major film releases, and Fandango's survey of its ‘Son of God' ticket buyers confirms they would like to see more Biblical stories brought to the big screen."
About Fandango's Fanticipation
Known for having its finger on the pulse of moviegoers, Fandango's movie buzz indicator, Fanticipation, provides statistical insight into the movies fans are planning to see in a given weekend. Fanticipation scores (based on a 1 to 100-point scale) are calculated via an algorithm of Fandango's advance ticket sales, website and mobile traffic, and social media engagement. Fanticipation is not intended as a forecast of the weekend box office; it is a snapshot of movie fan sentiment.
