Wednesday Morning Update:  Neighbors fell 22% on Tuesday to 5,349 tweets, down from 6,898 on Monday, I'm not overly concerned here by the fall since its overall levels are still huge and it continues to stack up really well to similarly targeted films. The Other Woman had 9,149 tweets its Tuesday before release (that was fueled by premiere buzz, on either end of its Tuesday it had 3,262 and 4,978 tweets) while last Summer's This Is The End had 3,446 three days before its Wednesday opening. I am impressed by the numbers here and still think it has a very strong shot at a hefty opening north of $30 million which would make it one of the most profitable films on the year.

Legends Of Oz: Dorothy's Return also fell a similar 20% to 1,324 tweets on Tuesday, down from Monday's 1,656 tweets. That makes two straight days of declines (it had 1,909 on Sunday) which in and of itself is not always a kiss of death though at these type of numbers its almost never a good sign. By comparison, Mr. Peabody And Sherman had 4,950 tweets its Tuesday before release, Rio 2 had 6,814 while The LEGO Movie had 14,586. Clearly one of these things is not like the other and with receding numbers and strong competition for family dollars in the market and upcoming creeping into double digits seems like best case scenario.

In other news Interstellar debuted a poster which saw it climb to over 8,000 tweets on the day. If a poster can give it such a big bump I believe it will be a candidate for 100k+ tweets for its first full trailer. Nolan's Inception was a Twitter darling and trended more than any other film over the last 4+ years so this isn't a huge surprise especially as more plot details are available and people become more intrigued. This goes without saying but that is primed to be a huge winner for the end of the year.
