'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Becomes Highest Grossing Film in the Franchise After 12 Days of Release

XMENstill1.jpgX-Men: Days of Future Past crossed the $500 million mark worldwide this weekend, making it the highest grossing entry of the franchise after only 12 days in release. The superhero film took $95.6 million in its second weekend of release overseas from 21,643 screens in 74 markets. The film's overseas total is now up to $338.1 million, launching it to a global gross of $500.1 million.

Top performers this weekend included strong holds in China ($21.8M Weekend / $79.1M Cume), France ($8.4M Weekend / $20.5M Cume), South Korea ($7.5M Weekend / $24.1M Cume), UK ($5.8M Weekend / $32.8M Cume), and Brazil ($5M Weekend / $16.3M Cume). The film expands to its final market, Spain, next weekend.
