How to Train Your Dragon 2 took in $3.13 million on Thursday to lead the daily box office for a second straight day. The 3D computer animated sequel from Fox and DreamWorks Animation fell 11 percent from Wednesday and 33 percent from last Thursday. With Paramount's Transformers: Age of Extinction entering the marketplace on Thursday night, holdovers experienced significant daily declines in general on Thursday. How to Train Your Dragon 2 placed in a close second for the week with $38.84 million. That was down a respectable 44 percent from the film's opening week performance. The film continues to perform below its massive expectations with a two-week take of $108.71 million, which places it essentially on par with the $108.54 million two-week gross of 2010's How to Train Your Dragon.

Sony's 22 Jump Street placed in a close second with $2.93 million. The action comedy sequel starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum was down 16 percent from Wednesday and down 46 percent from last Thursday. 22 Jump Street led the weekly box office with $41.99 million for the frame. That was down 49 percent from the film's opening week performance and brings the film's two-week total to a very impressive $124.44 million. 22 Jump Street is currently running 59 percent ahead of the $78.05 million 14-day take of 2012's 21 Jump Street.

Maleficent took in $1.75 million to remain in third place. Disney's 3D fantasy blockbuster starring Angelina Jolie was down 10 percent from Wednesday and down a healthy 28 percent from last Thursday. Maleficent placed in fourth this week with $20.66 million, which represented a decline of just 27 percent from the previous frame. With a four-week total of $193.63 million, Maleficent is set to surpass the $200 million domestic milestone by the end of the weekend.

Sony's Think Like a Man Too held steady in fourth with $1.63 million. The Kevin Hart led ensemble comedy sequel was down 13 percent from Wednesday, as the film continues to display significant initial front-loading. Think Like a Man Too placed in a close third for the week with a seven-day start of $37.77 million. That was just under pre-release expectations and places the film 12 percent behind the $42.87 million seven-day take of 2012's Think Like a Man.

Warner's Jersey Boys rounded out Thursday's unchanged top five with $1.40 million. The Clint Eastwood directed musical fell 13 percent from Wednesday. Jersey Boys took fifth place this week with a seven-day start of $19.73 million. The film is performing in line with its modest expectations and is currently running 5 percent behind the $20.76 million seven-day gross of 2012's Rock of Ages.
