David Passman III, the Company's Chairman of the Board, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and that current Board member, Roland C. Smith, will succeed Mr. Passman as Carmike's Chairman of the Board. Fred Van Noy remains with Carmike as Chief Operating Officer and Richard B. Hare continues as Chief Financial Officer.

Commenting on Mr. Passman's appointment, Roland C. Roland C. Smith has served as President and CEO of Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc. and CEO of Wendy's International, Inc., a restaurant owner, operator and franchisor, since September 2008. Mr. Smith served as CEO of Triarc Companies, Inc. from June 2006 until September 2008 and the CEO of Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. from April 2006 until September 2008. Mr. Smith was President and CEO of American Golf Corporation and National Golf Properties, an owner and operator of golf courses, from February 2003 to November 2005. He also served as President and CEO of AMF Bowling Worldwide, Inc., an owner and operator of bowling centers, from April 1999 until January 2003.

S. David Passman III recently retired from his position as President and CEO of IBS-STL, Inc., a book publishing and distribution company, where he had served since June 2005. Previously, Mr. Passman served as President of the Harland Printed Products and Harland Checks divisions of John H. Harland Company, a provider of printed products and software and related services to the financial institution market, from 1999 to 2003, and also served as its CFO from 1996 to 1999. NEW YORK - The Cinema Advertising Council (CAC), the trade association of cinema advertising companies that represent 82% of U.S. movie screens, has today named the winners of its 2008 CAC Creative Excellence Awards. The annual awards recognize high-quality, entertaining advertising that has been showcased in movie theatres during the past year, on a national, regional and local basis.

"There is no better showcase for a great piece of creative than the big screen and the unique environment of the cinema," said Dave Kupiec, president and chairman of the CAC. "When you have an audience that is totally focused on the screen, and a 40 foot canvas to work with, it's a Creative Director's dream. As more and more clients add cinema to their media mix, we have an increasing volume of great work to choose from each year. Nominees were chosen by the CAC membership, and the winning creative was determined by votes from the CAC Board of Directors, marketing committee members, and creative directors from select member companies. Beverly Hills, CA-Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM) announced today that it will host the first-ever, live virtual Q&A between a film cast and theatre audiences nationwide as a part of the June 19, 2009 opening night of the feature film The Narrows.

The live Q&A will be simulcast to selected theatres across the country giving audiences direct access to the movie's cast members. The cast members, including Kevin Zegers (Transamerica, The Jane Austen Book Club), Vincent D'Onofrio (Law and Order, The Break Up), and Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill), will be located in New York and will answer in real-time audience questions submitted via text message, as well as questions submitted prior to the event via The Narrows Facebook page.

The Narrows premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released nationally on June 19, 2009. Directed by Francois Velle (New Suit), The Narrows is about a photography student from a tough neighborhood in Brooklyn who takes a job from the local mob boss in order to pay his college tuition. His double life becomes dangerous when the two worlds violently collide. The Narrows also features Eddie Cahill, Monica Keena, and Titus Welliver. It is adapted by Tatiana Blackington from the novel by Tim McLoughlin Heart of the Old Country.

The new virtual Q&A is made possible by digital broadcast of the film to theatres via satellite transmission using Cinedigm's proprietary CineLive® technology which powered the BCS Championship and NBA All Star games earlier this year.
