Today at the start of the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas, James Cameron's Cameron-Pace Group announced that they plan to increase efforts to make 3D a part of every available exhibition platform. Specifically, they said that they intend to make available their next-generation camera systems to sporting events, advertising campaigns, consumer product services, and episodic and live television, in addition to their ongoing feature work. Cameron said, "Our goal is to banish all the perceived and actual barriers to entry that are currently holding back producers, studios and networks from embracing their 3D future."

Cameron and Pace's proprietary camera system was previously used to shoot Avatar, Tron: Legacy and U2: 3D. Their current/ upcoming projects include Rob Marshall's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Paul W.S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers, Martin Scorsese's The Invention of Hugo Cabret, Ang Lee's Life of Pi and Carl Rinsch's 47 Ronin.

Henderson, NC --The Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre, Henderson, NC announces that starting with its weekend program April 15th- patrons visiting the theatre, will be given an opportunity to win $25 Shell Gas Gift Cards.

One gas gift card will be given away each month from April thru August. Patrons attending a movie will be given one entry form, per car-for each time they visit the theatre during this promotion. Theatre owner, Jim Kopp states: "our patrons drive on an average 40 -75 miles (each way) to attend the only drive-in theatre left in the Triangle area... 85% of our regular movie attendance comes from the Triangle area, but additionally there is a large contingency of patrons that drive from as far away as Virginia Beach, VA and as far south as Wilmington, NC... "with gas prices reaching towards $4 a gallon; family budgets are beginning to get tight so we thought that our patrons deserve a chance to win some gas money for making the trip to the drive-in."

Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre is the first theatre in the country to offer its patrons a chance to win some gas gift cards for attending movies. With movie attendance down nationally almost 20%; Kopp hopes that other theatres (particularly drive-in theatres); will join in the effort to reward some lucky patrons some gas cards.

New York, N.Y. -- Screenvision, a leading cinema advertising sales, services and content distribution company, is creating a new executive position in the company - Chief Revenue Officer -- and has tapped media veteran Mark Mitchell to fill the role. The announcement was made today by Travis Reid, President and CEO, Screenvision.

Mitchell brings to Screenvision vast experience across a broad spectrum of broadcast and digital media. This includes senior level executive positions at Canoe Ventures and Premiere Retail Networks (PRN). In this newly created position, Mitchell will be responsible for all revenue generation from national, regional and local advertising of Screenvision cinema advertising activities. Additionally, he will work with the management team to identify and launch Screenvision representation of other alternative out-of-home media platforms.

Most recently, Mitchell served as Chief Relationship Officer for Canoe Ventures, a developer and provider of advanced television and interactive advertising funded by the Cable Industry's leading operators. In this role, Mitchell forged collaborative partnerships with national cable and broadcast television networks, working with them to enhance their sales and programming with advanced television capabilities.

Prior to Canoe Ventures, Mitchell spent five years at Premiere Retail Networks (PRN) helping to build it into the nation's largest retail television business. During his tenure, advertiser adoption across PRN's family of networks increased five-fold. Before PRN, Mitchell spent more than 10 years with the ABC Television Network, holding several senior management positions.

While Mitchell was serving as EVP of Sales and Marketing for Office Media Networks, they, in association with Dow Jones & Company, launched the Wall Street Journal Office Network, a digital media and event services network deployed in premier office buildings across the nation's top Designated Market Areas (DMAs).

Mark holds a B.A. from the University of Florida. He currently resides in Briarcliff Manor, NY with his wife Betsy and sons Brendon and Ryan.

BURBANK, CA, April 10, 2011 - Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Michael Shannon will star in the role of General Zod in director Zack Snyder's new Superman film, titled "Man of Steel."
Snyder stated, "Zod is not only one of Superman's most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don't. Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role."

As General Zod, Shannon will go toe-to-toe with Henry Cavill, who plays the new Clark Kent/Superman in the film. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Michael Shannon was honored with an Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Sam Mendes' "Revolutionary Road," with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Shannon was most recently seen in the award-winning HBO drama series "Boardwalk Empire," from executive producer Martin Scorsese. He will next be seen in Sony Pictures Classics', "Take Shelter," from director/writer Jeff Nichols.

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.
