KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Regal Entertainment Group, a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, announced the launch of three additional locations for the new giant screen all-digital format called the Regal Premium Experience(SM)("RPX"). Construction is underway at Regal Kennesaw Town Center Stadium 16 in the Atlanta market, Regal Fenway Stadium 13 in Boston and Regal Hollywood Stadium 20 in Greenville.
"The first two RPX locations in New York City and Miami have been extremely successful. The Regal Premium Experience exceeded our expectations and impressed moviegoers in both locations," stated Greg Dunn, President and Chief Operating Officer for Regal Entertainment Group. "These three new RPX locations are each individually designed and tailored by our technicians to deliver an amazing experience both on the giant screen and through the high-powered custom-designed audio system."
RPX presents movies the way filmmakers intended with powerful, uncompressed surround sound and bright eye-popping images in 2D and RealD 3D. Patrons will enjoy the custom-built premium environment featuring elegant and luxurious seats with high-back headrests, a giant immersive screen illuminated by high-quality digital projectors and completed with a state-of-the-art sound system for the best picture you've ever heard!
The conversion of an existing auditorium is expected to be complete at all three sites before the holiday movie season. The addition of RPX theatres to Regal's already successful IMAX(R) strategy complements and extends the number of Regal Entertainment Group theatres featuring premium moviegoing experiences.
