NEW YORK, NY - President and CEO of Landmark Theatres, Ted Mundorff, will be honored with the ShowEast 2015 Bingham Ray Spirit Award during the Final Night Banquet & Awards Ceremony hosted by The Coca-Cola Company, on Thursday, October 15th at the Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Florida. The Bingham Ray Spirit Award was established in 2012 in honor of the late Bingham Ray, one of the most beloved people in the independent film world. This award is bestowed up an individual who has shown exemplary foresight and creativity in the world of independent film.

Mundorff is President and Chief Executive Officer for Landmark Theatres and one of the most experienced voices in independent film today. His responsibilities include oversight for all film bookings, theatre operations, real estate, sales, marketing, sponsorships, advertising and training. He also oversees Truly Indie which provides a unique distribution and publicity strategy for independent filmmakers launching their films.
Prior to joining Landmark Theatres, Mundorff held a number of management positions in distribution and exhibition and has been responsible for opening over thirty new theatres during his career and developing innovative ways of improving operations and customer service. Mundorff currently serves as a Vice Chair on the American Film Institute Corporate Council, as a Board member of the National Association of Theatre Owners (N.A.T.O.) of California and Nevada, and as Treasurer of Film Independent, one of the largest non-profit organizations dedicated to independent film. Mundorff was also selected as one of the "Top 50 People in Independent Film" by The Hollywood Reporter.
Additionally, Mundorff was Executive Producer on Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview, which was released nationally in 2012. He also wrote key chapters on four decades of exhibition in George Lucas' book called Blockbusting: A Decade-by-Decade Survey of Timeless Movies Including the Untold Secrets of their Financial and Cultural Success.
ShowEast 2015 will take place October 12-15 at the Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Florida. It will feature screenings of major upcoming films, sponsored events, timely and informative seminars and the ShowEast Trade Show. An estimated 1,300 members of the motion picture industry are expected to attend.
