LOS ANGELES -- IMAX Corporation (Nasdaq:IMAX) (TSX:IMX) today announced an agreement with Paramount Pictures to release four of the studio's tentpole releases in 2011 -- Super 8, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. Each film will open day-and-date in IMAX(R) theatres worldwide. Sony Pictures Entertainment is co-production partner on The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) will handle distribution and marketing in most key territories overseas.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, both originally shot in 3D, will be digitally re-mastered into IMAX's format for presentation in IMAX(R) 3D.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol continues the legacy of The Dark Knight and its revolutionary integration of IMAX original footage as this fourth chapter in the Mission: Impossible franchise will feature scenes shot with IMAX cameras. These specific sequences, exclusively in IMAX, will expand on the screen and further immerse the audience in the explosive action and vast scope of the film.

"Consumer demand for The IMAX Experience(R) has never been higher," said Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures. "Coupled with the rising popularity of the IMAX brand, the growing number of IMAX screens and the increased interest from our top filmmakers to have their movies offered in this format, IMAX is and continues to be a key part of our release strategy."

"Paramount Pictures consistently delivers top-quality, highly entertaining films that audiences love to see in IMAX, and with these new titles, we believe our 2011 lineup is on its way to becoming the most robust slate we've ever had," said IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond. "Our growing worldwide network will enable even more movie fans to experience their favorite films in the best possible way."

"When you combine the incredible storytelling talents of J.J. Abrams, Michael Bay, Brad Bird, and Steven Spielberg with technologies that transport the audience into the story, you create an awe-inspiring experience that takes movie-goers to places they only dream of -- and that is what the core and spirit of our partnership with Paramount Pictures is all about," said Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment. "We are very excited to share these amazing event films with IMAX exhibitors and movie-goers and look forward to working with these brilliant filmmakers as they showcase their talents in our format."

LOS ANGELES -- The Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) today issued the following statement from Bob Pisano, President and Interim CEO, regarding the release of a new report by MarkMonitor that estimates the volume of traffic to fewer than 100 websites with "business models that are indisputably centered on the sale or distribution of counterfeit and pirated goods" at a staggering 53 billion or more annual visits, most of which are to sites peddling stolen digital content:

"The findings in the MarkMonitor report on online piracy and counterfeiting are a call to arms for both government and the private sector. As the report demonstrates, a small number of rogue websites are generating mind-boggling traffic in pirated content. Billions of visits to these easily searchable websites - the vast majority of which are hosted in North America or Western Europe -translate into billions in lost revenue and lost American jobs. At a time of economic hardship, government and industry simply cannot stand by and allow businesses built on theft to flourish unimpeded and thereby handicap legitimate innovation and job creation. These websites and their operators are in our backyards; their lawlessness cannot be tolerated. We call on all concerned parties to redouble their efforts to address this scourge through vigorous law enforcement and robust inter-industry cooperation. We will also work closely with Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy and House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith to secure passage of effective legislation to stop these rogue websites. All those concerned about the most creative and innovative sectors of our economy should do the same."

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, announced today that The IMAX Experience(R) will soon be available at three additional locations. These IMAX(R) theatres will showcase films through a newly installed digital IMAX projection system, IMAX's proprietary sound system and a specially-designed IMAX screen in an existing auditorium. Construction will begin this month for IMAX theatres in Amarillo, TX; Eugene, OR and Shreveport, LA.

"Regal Entertainment Group and our moviegoers have embraced The IMAX Experience which transforms movies into entertainment events not to be missed," stated Greg Dunn, President and Chief Operating Officer for Regal Entertainment Group. "Our patrons thoroughly enjoy and appreciate the crystal clear images and impressive IMAX sound system. Regal is extremely proud to add IMAX to these three very popular theatres."

"Regal Entertainment Group is a first-class exhibitor, and their strong commitment to ensure every guest has a top-notch experience is precisely why they are an ideal partner for IMAX," said Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment. "We are very excited to install our latest technology at these new locations, where audiences will now have the opportunity to be virtually transported into our incredible slate of blockbuster movies via The IMAX Experience."

Three new Regal IMAX Theatre locations:
Amarillo Market - United Artists Amarillo Star Stadium 14
Eugene Market - Regal Valley River Center Stadium 15
Shreveport Market - Regal Louisiana Boardwalk Stadium 14

IMAX digital projection systems showcase Hollywood blockbusters that have been digitally re-mastered into the unique image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience as well as original documentary-style IMAX content. Films are projected on a specially-designed screen that is slightly curved and moved forward to further immerse the audience. Images of exceptional quality, combined with IMAX's proprietary digital surround sound system and patented theatre geometry create "The IMAX Experience," making audiences feel as if they are IN the movie.

Every Regal Entertainment Group IMAX theatre also offers IMAX(R) 3D. When filmmakers choose to integrate IMAX 3D into their movies, images leap off of the screen and into the laps of the audience, further enhancing the feeling of being IN the movie. This is made possible by a combination of IMAX's powerful digital projection system - which simultaneously projects two separate images onto the IMAX screen - and polarized IMAX 3D glasses that audience members wear to fuse the two images into a single three-dimensional motion picture. The result is an amazing IMAX 3D Experience where the screen disappears and the movie envelopes the audience.
