WASHINGTON, DC -- On Thursday, March 15th, the Motion Picture Association of America will host a screening for DC-area principals and educators of Bully, a new documentary chronicling the stories of kids in classrooms across the country who are dealing with aggressive and relentless bullying by their fellow students. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion focused on the challenges educators face in dealing with bullying in the classroom and how best to ensure that kids feel safe and protected when they come to school.

Bully has been screened and honored at dozens of film festivals around the world, including the Tribeca Film Festival, Zurich Film Festival and Screen Singapore, to name just a few. Bully will open in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on March 30, and in Washington DC and other cities on April 13.

Participating in the panel discussion will be MPAA Chairman Senator Chris Dodd, Bully distributor Harvey Weinstein, Bully director Lee Hirsch, DC Public Schools Chancellor Kaya Henderson and Dr. Joseph Wright, Senior Vice President and head of the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children's National Medical Center in Washington. The panel will discuss the issues raised in the film and the importance of a national conversation among students, parents and educators about bullying in America's schools. The panel will facilitate a discussion with the audience of principals, teachers and administrators to hear about their experiences and how they have handled bullying in their own schools.
