Knoxville, Tennessee - Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced that the Tennessee Benefit Screening of Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be held at Regal Cinemas Pinnacle Stadium 18 on Tuesday, November 17. Proceeds from this advance screening will benefit Variety - The Children's Charity of Eastern Tennessee. Two of the film's stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will attend this benefit screening of New Moon.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the public. There will be a drawing for the opportunity to purchase these $100 general admission tickets to the event. Registration for the drawing will be held from October 9 - 11 during regular business hours exclusively at Regal Cinemas in Knoxville: Pinnacle Stadium 18, West Town Mall Stadium 9, Riviera Stadium 8, Knoxville Center Stadium 10, and Downtown West 8. There is no purchase necessary for registration. As sponsor of the drawing, Regal Entertainment Group employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. To enter, you must be 18 or older. One entry per person will be accepted. Complete rules for the drawing will be available at participating theatres.

Winners will be selected by November 3 and contacted by phone for the opportunity to purchase two (2) general admission tickets for $100 each. Tickets are not for re-sale. At the time of purchase, both guest names will be registered. For entry to the event, valid, corresponding identification must be shown.

Guests at the Variety benefit screening will enjoy a catered reception at Regal Cinemas Pinnacle Stadium 18. The reception will be held before Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner walk the red carpet to greet the crowd. After the red carpet reception, attendees will have the honor of being some of the first moviegoers to view New Moon.

In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of werewolves, who are ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.

Based on Stephenie Meyer's book series, New Moon will be released on November 20 in theatres nationwide. This film has not yet been rated.

CYPRESS, CA - Christie, the world leader in digital cinema projection, announced that it has been selected by B&B Theatres to supply all the DLP Cinema projectors for the circuit's two newest 10-screen multiplexes in Wildwood and Ozark, Missouri. The multiplexes, scheduled for completion in the spring of 2010, will be equipped with Christie CP2000-ZX digital cinema projectors with Christie Brilliant 3D, which allows 3D content to be projected in full 2K resolution utilizing 1.2" DMD chips from Texas Instruments (TI) (NYSE: TXN).

The 29th largest theatre company in the U.S., B&B Theatres operates a chain of more than 179 screens in 30 locations throughout Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. It is recognized by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) as one of the oldest family-owned circuits in the Midwest. B&B started 2009 with no digital projectors, but has already digitized half of its circuit with at least one Christie digital cinema projector per complex. It is committed to installing additional Christie projectors in all of its theatres within the next year, according to B&B's president and owner, Bob Bagby.

Kansas-based Sonic Equipment Company, a service, consulting, remodeling and new construction company for motion picture exhibitors, is responsible for B&B's conversion efforts. Sonic is also a certified reseller of Christie's digital projectors and currently services more than 400 screens in eight states. Christie is a major partner in Sonic's highly successful digital roll-out strategy.

"Christie has been with us every step of the way and their excellent technical staff has helped us through the many questions that come up in transitioning so many different auditoriums," remarked Eric L. According to Film Journal International magazine, by 2012, approximately 20% of the world's cinema screens will be converted to digital projection. Joe Dante's suspense thriller, The Hole, will screen in Dolby 3D at the Ryerson Theatre, Scotiabank Theatre 4 and AMC 9 during the Festival. The Ryerson Theatre will feature the Christie CP2000-SB and Christie CineIPM 2K in Dolby 3D. This 30,000 ANSI lumens projector is the world's most deployed digital cinema projection solution and is ideally suited for large screen theaters, such as the Ryerson Theatre (17ft H x 40ft W screen size). With the filmmaker in mind, Christie engineered this projector to support the storytellers' creative abilities by developing a visual solution that provides depth and perspective, rendering an immersive cinematic experience.

The Christie CP2000-X makes its red carpet appearance at the Visa Screening Room in the Elgin Theatre, where The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Up In The Air and The Boys are Back will screen. This historic, landmark theater features one of the few remaining double-decker (or stacked) Edwardian theater facilities in the world.2 The split body design of the Christie CP2000-X projector meets the requirements of this well preserved theater, where the projection head and engine of the Christie CP2000-X are separated from their power source and placed in a compact space, providing a projection solution that "fits" even the most long-standing theaters.

San Francisco-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB), announced today that it is the exclusive digital cinema server and 3D provider of the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The festival will be conducted September 10-19 at venues throughout Toronto, Canada.

Dolby's Production Services team has installed Dolby Digital Cinema and Dolby 3D, and has also calibrated the sound and image of all participating festival venues. In addition, Dolby support staff will be onsite during the festival to ensure that audiences get the best possible experience, and filmmakers can accurately share their creative vision whether they use film or digital cinema, in 2D or 3D.

This year, Dolby and TIFF will bring Dolby Digital Cinema to all of TIFF's premiere gala, special presentations, and Midnight Madness screenings. For the first time, TIFF will be outfitted with Dolby 3D when it presents the North American premiere of Joe Dante's The Hole.

The U.S. debut of the eco doc-drama "The Age of Stupid" will be followed by a LIVE discussion with the foremost international environmental leaders and scientists in The Age of Stupid LIVE from New York on Monday, Sept. 21st.

This unique, one-night, live green carpet event will be simulcast from a solar tent in New York to more than 440 movie theaters. The documentary utilizes dramatization to forecast decades into the future detailing a life where the warnings of climate change were not heeded. The event is part of UN CLIMATE WEEK when world leaders will unite to discuss reforming the world's environmental Kyoto Treaty which is up for review in December. Additionally, the event will also be seen on tape delay to more than 30 countries, marking the first global premiere of its kind.

Following the viewing, director Franny Armstrong ("McLibel," "Drowned Out") and producer Lizzie Gillet will be joined by world-renowned scientists, celebrities and political figures including Kofi Annan, former United Nations Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize winner; Gillian Anderson, actor and star of The X Files; and Pete Postlethwaite, actor and star of "The Age of Stupid" for a LIVE and inspiring panel discussion during The Age of Stupid LIVE from New York. Audiences will also hear from field scientists working in the Himalayas and Indonesian rain forest live via satellite. Radiohead's Thom Yorke will wrap up the event with an acoustic performance of the film's title track.

The event will feature a live procession on a green carpet (made of recycled soda bottles) as guests arrive at NYC's Winter Garden by bicycle, solar car, rickshaw, sailboats and other low carbon methods. Local theater audiences are also encouraged to arrive via bicycle, carpool or mass transit to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The electricity used to power this event will be provided entirely from renewable sources, and all food and drink will be organic and locally sourced.

Presented by NCM Fathom and Spanner Films, in partnership with Greenpeace, and, The Age of Stupid LIVE from New York will be distributed through NCM's exclusive Digital Broadcast Network (DBN)-North America's largest cinema broadcast network-which utilizes digital media, proprietary software and network technologies to deliver digital programming events to nearly 500 theaters nationwide. This eliminates the need to duplicate and deliver film, tape or digital hard drives, thus reducing carbon intensive production processes associated with standard content distribution.

"Our response to climate change will define our generation, in the same way that ending apartheid, overturning slavery or landing on the moon defined earlier generations. At the moment, we are The Age of Stupid, but there is still time to turn things round," said director Franny Armstrong. " We're launching this event in the U.S. and globally, with the aim of inspiring 250 million viewers to leap into action before the world leaders decide our collective fate at the crucial UN Climate Summit in December. All of life on Earth is at stake, so may as well aim high."

"The Age of Stupid," is the four-year epic from Armstrong that utilizes dramatization to forecast decades into the future detailing a life where the warnings of climate change were not heeded. Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite (In the Name of the Father, Usual Suspects) plays a global archivist living in 2055 who takes audiences back through historical footage wondering why we didn't stop global warming when we had a chance.

The Archive is comprised of current news clips about our environmental crisis and six personal interweaving stories from around the world - including an aging tour guide in the Alps watching his terrain disappear to a budding medical student from Nigeria who has no access to clean, running water to a Hurricane Katrina survivor who works for one of the oil companies that contributed to the wipeout of his city.

"The Age of Stupid" was funded by a unique "crowd-funding" partnership, designed by Armstrong, whereby 228 people and groups who care about climate change invested in the documentary, raising nearly $750,000. Each owns a share as do the104 crew members who all worked at extremely reduced wages. The documentary premiered earlier this year in a solar cinema tent in the middle of London's Leicester Square producing just one percent of the carbon dioxide emissions of a standard Hollywood premiere and setting a Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous event premiere.

The Age of Stupid Live from New York appears on the big screen in high-definition with Cinema Surround Sound in 444 select movie theaters, including AMC Entertainment Inc., Celebration!
