The Nation's Top Moviegoer Destination Signs Multi-Year Agreement with Leading Midwest Exhibitor, Dramatically Expanding Its National Footprint
LAS VEGAS/CINEMACON (April 21, 2015) - Fandango, the leading digital destination for moviegoers and fans with more than 36 million unique visitors per month, announced today it has significantly expanded its national ticketing footprint by signing the company's first-ever agreement with Marcus Theatres®. With 685-screens, Marcus Theatres, the country's fifth largest exhibitor, will join Fandango's family of leading theater circuits in the fall, bringing Fandango's screen count to more than 26,000 U.S. screens.
With the addition of Marcus Theatres, Fandango will be the largest online ticket-seller for the nation's top seven theater chains (Regal, AMC, Cinemark, Carmike, Marcus Theatres, Southern and Harkins). As part of the multi-year deal, the Milwaukee-based company will link its online and mobile sites directly to Fandango as its preferred ticketing partner. In return, Fandango will provide Marcus Theatres with a best-in-class online and mobile ticketing experience to support its moviegoers across all platforms, serving its many locations throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and Ohio.
