This is veteran filmmaker Lea Pool's most autobiographical film to date; the relationship between Hannah's Jewish father (Miki Manojlovic) and his Catholic wife (Pascale Bussieres) comes straight from her life. But despite good usage of Jean-Luc Godard's classic "Vivre Sa Vie" as a model for Hannah's world view, we've seen all this stuff before. "Emporte- moi" is well-made but old hat. Starring Karine Vanasse, Miki Manojlovic and Pascale Bussieres. Directed and written by Lea Pool. Produced by Lorraine Richard, Alfi Sinniger and Carole Scotta. No distributor set. Drama. French-language; subtitled. Not yet rated. Running time: 94 min.
