'Iron Man 3' Opens in Russia with $23.2M

53429296680800441582126.jpgIron Man 3 took in $23.2 million in its Russian premiere, conquering the box office with a $19,206 per-screen average across 1208 screens. The superhero film packed theaters over the weekend and became one of the biggest hits of the year in Russia. L.egend No. 17 fell 32% in its third week, giving up the #1 spot at the box office and grossing $3.9 million. The sports biopic will not be disappointed after grossing $23.5 million in wide release before Iron Man's premiere. Pain & Gain fell 56% to third place and grossed $1.6m million take the cume of Michael Bay's passion project to $6.1 million -an unfamiliarly low number for the high-profile director.
