The natural disaster flick has now grossed a total of $5.2 million in Russia, outgrossing the market totals for comparables titles like The Impossible by 257%, Flight and Paranormal Activity by 100%, The Happening by 96%, Unstoppable by 86%, and Cloverfield by 35%.

The stellar bow is 23% above star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's G.I. Joe: Retaliation in the same market and the biggest opening weekend for a The Rock vehicle of all time in Russia.
