'Divergent' Edges Out 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' in Russia on April 16, 2014

divergent.jpgDivergent narrowly edged out the second weekend of Captain America: The Winter Soldier for the top spot at the Russian box office. Divergent took a $3 million debut from 896 screens in its Russian premiere.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier fell just shy of keeping the top spot for a second consecutive weekend, grossing $2.9 million in its second frame. 

Noah broke the $30 million mark in Russia after taking $2.3 million over the weekend. Noah has grossed a total of $31.2 million in Russia.
