THURSDAY: Senator Dodd to Keynote Content Protection Summit

LOS ANGELES- On Thursday, December 6th, Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) will participate in an exclusive Variety Conversation Keynote during the Content Protection Summit produced by Variety and the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA).

"With technology advancements and the development of an ever growing number of platforms for viewing motion pictures and TV shows, it is more important than ever to make sure important industries, government and consumers work together to ensure the Internet works for everyone," Senator Dodd said. "Both the creative and technology communities are inextricably linked as we work to bring consumers the digital environment they want and both are essential to the economic well-being of our country."

In keeping with the Summit's theme "Innovation and Insights in Content Security," Dodd will address technological innovation in the movie industry in a short keynote address followed by a conversation with Variety's Ted Johnson, and ending with a Q&A session with the audience.

The day-long Content Protection Summit will gather executives across the entertainment industries to explore the latest innovations, findings and effective forms of deterrence in the protection of creative products of leading movie, game, music and software companies.
