'Edge of Tomorrow' Adds $9.6M in Second Day of Release
June 07, 2014
A strong $6.7 million haul on opening day led to an even better day of box office for Edge of Tomorrow on Saturday. The Tom Cruise sci-fi flick took $9.6 million in its second day of release in China, bringing the two-day cume in the country up to $16.56 million. X-Men: Days of Future Past trailed in a distant second place among Saturday's earners, accumulating only a third of the business attracted by Edge of Tomorrow. The sci-fi film has already outgrossed the entire opening weekend haul of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol in China after only two days in release.
