'Hercules' Flexes Box Office Muscles in Russian Debut

image.jpgHercules dominated the Russian box office with a strong $12 million debbut from 930 locations. The film performed well in IMAX, with Russia contributing $1 million from 35 screens, a $30k per-screen average in the format and accounting for half of the cumulative $2 million IMAX gross outside of North America. The stellar bow is 23% above star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's G.I. Joe: Retaliation in the same market and the biggest opening weekend for a The Rock vehicle of all time in Russia.
