- Insidious Chapter 2 is about to fall off a cliff at the box office on Friday as its overall buzz levels have plummeted from 110,999 tweets last Thursday to just 34,628 tweets a week later. Yes some of that 110k tweets were excitement over midnight showings which are no longer a factor this week but still, expect a hefty decline in this its sophomore weekend.
- In recent times Rush has really stepped up its pace and has routinely been in the top 5. The great early reviews coupled with strong marketing campaign have helped to raise its profile considerably. This should definitely be one of the winners of late September.
- Casting rumors helped to bump Star Wars: Episode VII yesterday as Saoirse Ronan and Benedict Cumberbatch were both mentioned as potential stars for the blockbuster-to-be. Nothing concrete but given the history of the franchise any and all firm casting news will likely give it top 15 appearances.
