Wanda Opens Its 10th Dolby Cinema at Beijing Fengtai

Wanda Cinema Line Corporation and Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) today announced Wanda Cinema Line’s 10th Dolby Cinema location in China opened at Wanda Cinema Beijing Fengtai Wanda Square site. Wanda’s Legendary Pictures’ The Great Wall is the first movie shown at the site in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.Moviegoers in Beijing can now enjoy the total cinema experience of Dolby Cinema at Wanda Cinemas.

Dolby Cinema is a premium cinema offering for moviegoers that combines spectacular image and sound technologies with inspired design to make every visit a completely captivating cinematic event.

Since the debut of Dolby Cinema in China with Wanda Cinema Line on June 23, 2016, 20 movies, international and domestic, from a variety of genres have been released in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for Dolby Cinema. These include titles from Wanda and Ledendary Pictures, a subsidiary of Wanda. The latest movie on the list, The Great Wall, which is now shown in Dolby Cinema locations across China, has achieved a record high Dolby Cinema opening show box office in the market.

To date, Dolby Cinema locations in operation at Wanda Cinema Line represents over 90% of Dolby Cinemas in the market. Wanda plans to open at least 100 Dolby cinema locations in China by the end of 2018. In addition, the Wanda company, AMC, plans to open 160 Dolby Cinema locations in the U.S. by the end of 2018. These have made Wanda the biggest partner of Dolby Cinema around the globe.
