Weekend Actuals: ‘Moana’ Leads Again w/ $28.2M; ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Second Again w/ $18.1M; ‘Incarnate’ Debuts w/ $2.5M

Disney’s Moana led the box office for the second straight frame this weekend with $28.27 million, a 50.0 percent decline. Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them took second place for the second straight frame as well, with a 59.8 percent drop to $18.11 million. Paramount’s Arrival impressively rose to third place from fifth place the previous weekend, with a mild 36.5 percent decline to $7.26 million. And the weekend’s only new wide release, High Top Releasing’s Incarnate debuted in ninth place with $2.53 million, below the $4-5 million opening the studio was hoping for.
