Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) today announced the Cinema West Veranda LUXE Cinema as the first cinema complex to fully integrate all Dolby technologies delivering an immersive Dolby Atmos audio experience across a total of nine screens. Located in Concord, Calif., the complex has a grand opening scheduled for December 2017.
Each screen will be equipped for Dolby Atmos, and include the Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000, the Dolby Multichannel Amplifier, and an SLS Cinema Series Speaker System. The combination is designed to give audiences the most spectacular, fully immersive cinema experience available to date and offer a complete, integrated solution from Dolby Audio 5.1 and 7.1 to Dolby Atmos, regardless of the size of an auditorium.

Dolby Atmos has quickly become the preferred choice for next generation sound in the cinema and has been embraced by major studios, directors, and exhibitors around the world. Currently, more than 3,000 Dolby Atmos enabled cinema screens have been installed or committed to globally, and over 700 titles have been mixed in Dolby Atmos.
Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000
An innovative imaging server and audio processor in one, the new Dolby IMS3000 delivers reliability and enables exhibitors to show movies with superior sound. It also offers flexibility with sound as exhibitors can start with Dolby Audio 5.1 or 7.1 now, and unlock the power of Dolby Atmos later. The Dolby IMS3000’s unified UI and simplified design make setup and operation more convenient and cost-effective, helping deliver a cinema experience that audiences will love. In addition, the IMS3000 is compatible with Dolby Fidelio and Dolby CaptiView accessibility equipment.
Dolby Multichannel Amplifier
This advanced high-density design can replace up to 16 stereo amplifiers, using less rack space and producing less heat, to lower overall costs. With less equipment to install, power, and maintain, exhibitors get a simpler and more efficient installation. The Dolby Multichannel Amplifier is available in three configurations: 16 channels, 24 channels or 32 channels.
SLS Cinema Series Speaker System
The SLS Cinema Series Speaker System delivers exceptionally clear and powerful audio experiences with superior dynamic range, and ultra-clear high frequency from any seat in the house. The SLS Cinema Series Speaker System includes a full line of screen channel speaker systems, subwoofers, surround speakers, and overhead speakers. The SLS 3-Axis Speaker line delivers clear and powerful sound in a small, light package that’s easier and quicker to install, for any size theatre.
