Lionsgate reports that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is up to an impressive $560.5 million worldwide. $302.8 million of that comes from overseas results. Key markets include the U.K. ($39.6 milllion), Germany ($29.3 million), Australia ($22.1 million) and France ($21 million).
Interstellar posted $22.8 million from 64 markets this weekend. The overseas cume is now $434.1 million. Worldwide, Christopher Nolan’s space epic is up to $593.1 million. China’s tally is up to $119.2 million, which makes it the biggest earner WB has ever had in the country.
Penguins of Madagascar added another $23.5 million overseas this weekend, giving it an international cume of $94.5 million. The global total is now $144.1 million. China remains the #1 overseas market with $36.6 million, followed by Russia with $15 million.
Exodus: Gods and Kings is off to an excellent start ahead of its domestic release. The biblical epic snagged $23 million from 10 international markets over the weekend. Exodus‘ $4.7 million debut in Mexico is 41% ahead of Noah at the same point in the release cycle. The Ridley Scott flick is also ahead of Noah in Spain, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Philippines.
Horrible Bosses 2 raked in another $7.1 million over the weekend, giving it an overseas total of $23.1 million. Globally, the comedic sequel is up to $59.2 million.
Big Hero 6 added another $4.0 million to its overseas haul this weekend. The animated flick is only 22% into its full international roll out. The overseas haul is now $62.8 million. Globally, Big Hero 6 is up to $240.3 million.
The Pyramid debuted to $3.8 million from 16 overseas markets. The horror flick ranks second in Russia with $1.4 million.
Fury added $3.7 million, pushing its overseas total to $97.5 million. Globally, the war flick is up to $180.7 million.
Men, Women & Children is up to $418K after opening in three overseas territories. The global cume is $1.1 million.
